Gary Rogers D.P.M. - Podiatric Surgeon and Bunion Specialist

Podiatrists have taken eight years of university-level education before beginning to practice as a podiatrist. Podiatrists then go through surgical training through a hospital-based residency program, totalling 8 to 12 years of education. A Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) is a highly trained specialist in care of the feet. Podiatrists and chiropodists are similar in that they are foot experts, but a podiatrist is a highly trained surgeon licensed in Ontario to perform osseous (bone) and soft tissue surgeries on the foot. There are less than 20 licensed podiatrists in Ontario. Podiatrists specialize in surgical issues affecting the forefoot, including bunions, osteoarthritis, neuromas, hammertoes, soft tissue lesions, and ganglion cysts.

Gary Rogers completed his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from The Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and then his surgical residency at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He is board-certified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Podiatrist with the Ontario College of Chiropodists. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine.
